Today was another dark day in history when On September 6, 1901, William McKinley, our 25th President, was shot on the grounds of the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. At the time of the shooting, President McKinley was shaking hands with the public and then an anarchist named Leon Czolgosz walked up to him and shot him twice in the abdomen. President McKinley succumbed to his wounds eight days later on September 14, 1901.
